BRICKS 4 KIDZ® Team Leader – Casual

At BRICKS 4 KIDZ® Canberra, we create fun, hands-on learning experiences where children build, explore and get creative with LEGO® Bricks.

We are looking for proactive, confident and engaging Team Leaders to join our growing Canberra team.

Our programs include School Holiday Programs, School Incursions, After School Programs and Weekend Programs for children aged approximately 5–12 years. As a Team Leader, you'll take the lead in delivering high-quality, energetic programs while working alongside and supporting our junior team members.

Programs are delivered at locations across the ACT and nearby NSW, so a driver's licence, reliable car and willingness to travel are essential.

What you'll be doing

• Leading fun and engaging LEGO®-based programs for groups of children aged 5–12
• Setting up and packing down program equipment
• Managing groups and keeping children engaged, safe and involved
• Communicating confidently with parents, teachers and school/venue staff
• Leading and supporting junior team members, no more than two per shift
• Helping programs run smoothly, on time and to a consistently high standard
• Travelling to schools, vacation care services, parties and other locations across Canberra and nearby NSW

About you

To be considered for this Team Leader role, you will need:

• A current ACT Working With Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration
• A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable car
• A First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain one upon employment
• Confidence leading and managing groups of children
• A warm, energetic personality that children respond well to
• Strong communication skills when dealing with children, parents, school staff and other team members
• The ability to take initiative and solve small problems independently
• Reliability and good time management
• The confidence to guide and support junior team members

A NSW Working With Children Check (WWCC) is highly regarded due to some programs being delivered in nearby NSW.

Experience working with children, including in education, OSHC, coaching, tutoring, camps or similar roles, is highly regarded but not essential.

Hours

This is a casual position and hours vary depending on bookings.

Individual shifts generally range from approximately 2 to 8 hours, with the number of shifts available changing from week to week.

Casual rate: $30.00+ per hour, depending on age, experience and applicable award conditions.
