Senior Specification & Business Development Manager

About the role

You will spend the majority of your time out in the market building relationships, developing projects and generating apaiser specifications. You will also work closely with the established Melbourne Showroom Manager and provide showroom coverage approximately one day per week.

Your primary focus will be to identify and develop new business opportunities across luxury residential, multi-residential, hospitality, architecture and interior design, developers, and premium building and design projects. You will proactively develop relationships with architects, interior designers, developers and design practices, introduce them to apaiser, generate specifications and manage opportunities through to quotation and sale.

Key responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with Melbourne's leading architects and interior designers

• Identify new project and specification opportunities

• Regularly visit design practices and project teams

• Present apaiser products, materials, colours and capabilities to designers

• Generate and manage a high-quality project pipeline

• Convert specifications into profitable sales

• Identify luxury residential, hospitality and development opportunities

• Manage projects from initial introduction through specification, quotation and order

• Conduct designer presentations and product introductions

• Attend relevant industry events and networking opportunities

About you

• Already understand how the architecture and design industry works

• Established network of relationships across Melbourne's architecture and interior design community

• Proven track record in specification-led sales

• Experience in luxury furniture, architectural products, stone and surfaces, kitchens, lighting, architectural hardware, premium flooring, tiles, bathroom products, sanitaryware, or other high-end interior or building products

• Well connected within Melbourne's A&D community

• Experienced specification-led salesperson

• Highly relationship-driven

• Commercially astute

• Confident presenting to design practices

• Sophisticated, articulate and professional

• Passionate about architecture, interiors and luxury design
