Chassis MIG Welders

About the role

Responsible for welding and fabricating chassis components to specification, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with manufacturing standards. Weld chassis components including cross‑members, A‑frames, suspension mounts, and brackets.

Key responsibilities

• MIG welding of chassis frames and components

• Read and interpret technical drawings and weld maps

• Prepare materials, jigs, and fixtures

• Conduct quality checks on welds

• Report defects or design issues to supervisors

• Maintain welding equipment

About you

• Must supply your own positive air pressure respiratory (PARP) Helmet (consumables will be provided)

• Welding experience in heavy fabrication

• Ability to read drawings

• Strong attention to detail

• Wear PPE: PARP welding helmet, gloves, steel caps, FR clothing

• Follow hot‑work procedures

• Maintain safe welding bays and ventilation

• Comply with manual handling guidelines

• Safe use of power tools

• Able and flexible to work overtime when available
