Bluestone Mines Tasmania Joint Venture Pty Ltd, is Australia’s largest Tin producer.  Bluestone is a well-established, high yield tin producer with a strong resource base supporting a mine life in excess of 10 years. The Renison mine is located on Tasmania’s beautiful West Coast between the towns of Zeehan and Rosebery.

About the mine

It is an exciting time at Renison with a robust "Life of Mine Plan" and ongoing capital reinvestment program designed to deliver substantial health, safety, environmental, and efficiency improvements across the operation. About the role

As an Administration Officer at our Renison Mine Site, you will be an integral part of the team, ensuring the seamless operation of daily administrative tasks across various departments. Your role will involve managing a variety of administrative duties, including coordinating travel logistics, handling payroll related tasks, supporting recruitment activities, and maintaining accurate records. You will play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the site.

The position is being offered on a full-time basis, 7 days on 7 days off roster

Core responsibilities

• Provide general administrative assistance to departments as needed to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations across all areas of the mine site.
• Coordinate and arrange travel, accommodation, and village bookings for site personnel and contractors.
• Monitor and process contractor timesheets, ensuring accurate and timely entry for invoicing purposes.
• Provide support with EOM tasks such as accruals and contractor claims/invoices.
• Ensure accurate entry and verification of payroll-related information prior to submission, such as timesheets, leave records, rosters and expense claims.
• Updating and maintaining records and databases
• Input of Purchase Requisitions and invoice approvals.
• Assist with the onboarding of new employees and support recruitment activities.

About you

You are a quick learner with the ability to easily pick up new tasks and processes, understanding that effective communication and collaboration are essential in a team environment.

With the admin team working on a 7 days on 7 days off back-to-back roster, you understand the importance of maintaining continuity in your tasks and ensuring nothing is overlooked between shifts. Your proactive approach helps ensure a smooth handover and uninterrupted workflow, even without a formal handover day.

While previous experience in the mining industry is beneficial, a solid foundation in administration is essential for this role. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively are key to thriving in this position.
