About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator with 2-3 years of relevant experience in structural steel and light steel framing. This role is suited to someone who can independently prepare estimates while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for light gauge steel framing, structural steel fabrication and installation projects
• Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs using take-off software
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Assist in preparing and submitting tenders within required timeframes
• Identify cost efficiencies and support value engineering initiatives
• Liaise with internal teams, clients, and suppliers during the tender process
• Maintain estimating records and documentation
• Provide quote opportunities update at sales meeting

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2-3 years' experience in estimating within structural steel, fabrication, or light steel framing
• Good understanding of fabrication and on-site installation processes
• Solid knowledge of the construction industry
• Ability to read and interpret technical and shop drawings
• Experience with take-off software (highly regarded)
• Experience with CAD software (highly recommended)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating tools
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
• Good communication and time management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
