About the Role

PSD Energy is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our Building Workshop team in Pooraka, South Australia.

This hands-on role will support the construction, assembly, modification and fit-out of workshop-built structures and project-related building works. You will work alongside other trades, supervisors and project teams to deliver high-quality work in a safe, practical and efficient manner.

This role is suited to a reliable and skilled Carpenter who enjoys varied workshop-based work, takes pride in quality workmanship and is comfortable working in a busy trade environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Completing carpentry, framing, fit-out and general building tasks
• Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and work instructions
• Measuring, cutting, assembling and installing building materials
• Supporting the construction, modification and repair of workshop-built structures
• Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment safely and effectively
• Assisting with material preparation, handling and workshop organisation
• Working closely with electricians, trade assistants, welders, fitters and supervisors
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work area
• Following workplace health and safety requirements, safe work procedures and quality standards
• Identifying issues, defects or improvement opportunities and escalating where required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Trade qualification in Carpentry or demonstrated carpentry/building experience
• Experience in framing, fit-out, assembly, repairs or general construction
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and work instructions
• Strong practical skills and confidence using hand tools and power tools
• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Strong commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Reliable, flexible and proactive approach to work
• Current Driver’s Licence
• White Card, highly regarded
