ABOUT THE ROLE: 

Fabrication Estimator

• Full-time position

• Pinjarra Head Office location

• Monday to Friday Roster

• Long term career opportunity

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret fabrication drawings, engineering drawings, specifications, tender documentation and project proposals to prepare accurate and competitive estimates.

• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and calculate material, labor, fabrication, equipment, consumable and installation costs.

• Obtain, review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.

• Develop detailed tender packages, including cost breakdowns, schedules, labor allowances, fabrication requirements and supporting documentation.

• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to clarify scope, specifications, lead times and pricing.

• Maintain knowledge of compliance factors including Australian standards and regulations.

• Identify project requirements, exclusions, risks and potential variations during the estimating and tendering process.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Successful applicants must have:

• Fabrication or Boilermaking trade background.

• Previous estimating experience (preferred)

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Valid Australian Driver’s Licence.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
