The Opportunity

As our next Senior Accountant, you'll play a key role across a broad range of accounting, taxation and advisory work. You'll enjoy genuine variety and autonomy, while working alongside experienced professionals who value initiative and fresh ideas.

You'll be involved in:

• Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, SMSFs and individuals

• Preparing and reviewing BAS and IAS lodgements

• Assisting with FBT, payroll tax, STP finalisations and compliance requirements

• SMSF administration, compliance and entity formations

• Tax planning and distribution strategies

• Management reporting and business insights for clients

• Supporting clients with Xero and cloud accounting solutions

• Reviewing work completed by other team members

• Guiding junior accounting and administration staff when needed

• Building strong relationships with clients and becoming a trusted adviser

• Working closely with the Directors on process improvements and AI initiatives.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines strong technical capability with a genuine passion for helping clients succeed.

You'll ideally bring:

• A degree in Accounting or a related discipline

• CA or CPA qualification (completed or in progress)

• At least 3 years' Australian public practice accounting experience

• Strong experience preparing financial statements and tax returns across multiple entity types

• Solid SME tax compliance and financial reporting knowledge

• A commercial mindset and practical, client-focused approach

• Confidence communicating with clients and colleagues

• A collaborative attitude and willingness to support and mentor others

• Curiosity, initiative and enthusiasm for new technology and smarter ways of working
