We recruit apprentices and place them with trusted automotive businesses across Melbourne where they gain real on-the-job experience while completing their training. About the role
The VACC, on behalf of the Lexus of Blackburn, is currently accepting applications for an Automotive Apprenticeship in Light Vehicle (Cert III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology).

Lexus of Blackburn has a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility designed to develop and train the automotive people of tomorrow. The position combines on-the-job training with structured learning to qualify you as an Automotive Technician.

What you’ll learn

• Vehicle servicing and maintenance
• Diagnosing and repairing faults
• Using tools and workshop equipment
• Working safely in a professional workshop
• Real-world mechanical skills

About you

• Interested in cars or the automotive industry
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Reliable and motivated
• Working towards or have a valid probationary/full driver’s license
• Australian citizen or permanent resident living in Victoria

Bonus:

• Any previous experience in the automotive industry
• Completed a Certificate II in Automotive

Please note: Applicants who already hold a Cert III or higher in the same trade are not eligible for this apprenticeship.
