Right now, we’re looking for a Project Manager who can do a lot.
Suitorly is introducing candidates to one of Australia’s most respected outsourced PMO firms: a team that embeds directly inside financial-services organisations and owns delivery from the inside.
They are not consultants who advise and disappear. They are not a staffing agency filling a seat. They take accountability for outcomes, and they have built a strong reputation in one of the most demanding corners of financial services.
They’re growing. And they need the right person introduced to them.
The work
You’ll be embedded inside client organisations, running projects as though you are part of their internal team while drawing on a specialist PMO framework and an experienced banking and financial-services bench behind you.
This is client-facing delivery from day one. You’ll work with executives, sponsors, and steering committees. You’ll own outcomes, not just documentation.
The portfolio spans core-banking upgrades, regulatory and compliance programs, and business and digital transformation. You will also be expected to pick up change-management and business-analysis work alongside delivery. You will also provide guidance and advice on how to meet the objectives.
These clients do not always have the internal capacity to split those functions across three people. They need one person who can do all three well.
That’s the profile. That’s the match.
Day to day, that looks like:
Delivering projects and programs end-to-end, from initiation through to benefits realisation.Managing scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder engagement across complex programs.Leading change-management activity alongside delivery, including readiness assessments, impact mapping, training, communications, and adoption planning.Completing business-analysis work where needed, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and current- and future-state analysis.Supporting regulatory and compliance programs with risk, compliance,e and technology teams.Reporting into governance forums, steering committees,es and executive sponsors—turning delivery status into decisions people can act on.Building trusted relationships at every level, from project coordinators to executive leaders.
The right person
You understand how regulated environments work. You do not need governance explained to you.You have been in the room with executives and know how to have a direct conversation about risk, delays, and competing priorities without turning it into a crisis.
We’d like to see:
Proven project-management experience across programs of genuine scale and complexity—not just task coordination.Experience in one or more of the following core banking systems and upgrades, regulatory and compliance programs, or business and digital transformation.A real change-management background—not someone who has read a framework once.The ability and willingness to do business-analysis work, including requirements gathering and process analysis.Confidence operating in highly regulated environments where governance, documentation, and audit trails are non-negotiable.A client-facing track record, with the confidence to work with executives from week one.Strong written and verbal communication, including producing steering-committee packs and having honest conversations with sponsors when things get difficult.
Experience in mutual banking, credit unions,s or customer-owned banking is highly regarded.
That said, a perfect sector match is not the point. Candidates from broader banking, insurance, and financial services will absolutely be considered where the underlying delivery experience is there.
If you have delivered a core-banking platform change, led a regulatory response against a hard compliance deadline, or run a digital transformation that genuinely landed with the business rather than stalling at go-live, we want to hear from you.
Consultants with financial services experience are encouraged to apply too—particularly if you have owned delivery, not just shaped strategy.
