Trainer/Assessor – Trenchless Technology and Civil Construction (Pipe Laying)

ACA Training is an online Registered Training Organisation delivering flexible, app-based training and assessment across the trenchless technology, mining, drilling and civil construction industries.

We are seeking experienced and qualified trainers and assessors to support delivery and assessment for the following civil construction qualifications:

• RII31619 Certificate III in Trenchless Technology

• RII30920 Certificate III in Civil Construction (Pipe Laying)

ACA Training uses the ACA Training App, a digital training platform designed for remote, site-based and operational work environments. The app allows students to complete theory assessments, submit practical evidence, upload photos and videos, and receive trainer feedback while continuing to work in real industry settings.

This role would suit someone with strong industry experience who is looking for flexible, part-time work from home while continuing to contribute to workforce development in their sector.

The role involves

• Logging into the ACA Training App to review student submissions

• Marking theory and practical assessment evidence

• Providing clear, practical feedback to students

• Reviewing and updating current training materials

• Assisting with the development of new training materials to align with industry requirements

• Supporting practical, workplace-based training and assessment outcomes

The role is

• Part-time

• Work from home

• Flexible hours

• Estimated at approximately 5–10 hours per week

• Well remunerated

• Suited to someone who can work independently and communicate clearly

About you

You must hold, or be able to demonstrate:

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or recognised equivalent

• Vocational competency in RII31619 Certificate III in Trenchless Technology and/or RII30920 Certificate III in Civil Construction (Pipe Laying)

• Current industry experience in trenchless technology, pipe laying, civil construction or a closely related field

• The ability to review workplace evidence and provide clear, practical feedback

• Strong written communication skills

• A genuine interest in supporting learners and improving training outcomes
