What you will be doing in the role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) -Neuro & Interventional Neuroradiology to provide expert clinical leadership and coordination across our Neurosurgery and Interventional Neuroradiology services. In this pivotal role, you will help shape the future of patient care by driving innovation, supporting best-practice clinical pathways, and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality. Reporting to the Ning Unit Manager you will be working within a supportive, values-driven organisation, you'll have the opportunity to influence practice at both the clinical and strategic level through education, service development, and evidence-based improvements.
You will play a key role in service development and innovation by identifying and implementing improved models of care, clinical practices, technologies and sustainable solutions. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary stakeholders, you will drive initiatives that enhance patient outcomes, service efficiency and workforce effectiveness, while championing infection prevention, patient safety and evidence-based practice and supporting the achievement of broader organisational priorities.
Who we’re looking for
Essential requirements
Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA
Minimum 5 years' experience in Neurosurgery and/or Interventional Neuroradiology
Demonstrated experience leading and implementing quality improvement, patient safety or service development initiatives with measurable outcomes
Experience developing, delivering and evaluating education, training and mentoring programs
Demonstrated ability to lead change, service development and innovation
Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills
Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary environment and manage competing priorities
Postgraduate qualification and/or demonstrated experience in neuroscience, neurosurgery, or interventional neuroradiology. (desirable)
