About the role
Are you a tech enthusiast with a passion for problem-solving? Liebherr Australia is seeking a dynamic Autonomous Haulage System (AHS) Specialist to join our team. As an AHS Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of technology, working with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure the smooth operation of our cutting-edge systems.
The Opportunity:
This is a permanent FIFO site-based role from Perth, Liebherr Australia is seeking an AHS Specialist to provide safe, efficient and compliant diagnostic, repair, maintenance, component replacement, calibration and commissioning services to the Division’s customer base.
Reporting to the Project Manager (AHS), you will provide installation, commissioning, diagnostic, support development testing, and validations for Autonomous Haulage System equipment. This will include support for breakdown maintenance, repairs, and calibration of field devices associated with Fleet Management (FMS), Traffic Management (TMS), Telecommunications, Vehicle Awareness (VAS), High Precision Machine Guidance, and Onboard Perception and Robotics Systems.
The Role will lead and support onsite technicians with AHS system diagnostic, fault finding, calibrations and commissioning of AHS equipment.
This role is for a highly experienced and motivated professional who is ready to take on a new challenge and stay ahead of the curve in technology.
Responsibilities include:
Commission AHS Equipment and execute AHS Development test and validation plans.
Classify and prioritize support service requests, generate service requests, and provide fault causes and resolutions status.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manuals.
Maintain, test, commission, and repair electrical/electronic equipment.
Diagnose faults, repair, maintain, and overhaul electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
Maintain and update Jira Service Management platform.
Implement and lead change management processes for software and hardware rollouts.
Develop and review work products and documentation associated with AHS operation and maintenance.
Research and analyse onboard AHS system data and provide guidance to onboard Specialists and feedback to factory engineering teams.
Ensure tasks are completed safely, within the required timeframe, and in accordance with specified work instructions.
Actively participate in continuous improvement activities and projects as required.
Maintain effective relationships with customers.

Skills and qualifications:
Certificate III in Electronics and Communications, Certificate III Electrotechnology (HV), Certificate III Automotive Electrical Technology or other relevant electrotechnology qualifications or relevant trade certificate
Current Australian “C” class manual driver license
Heavy Mobile Equipment experience
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Australian working rights
Experience with Autonomous Mining Systems
Knowledge of mining technology products and product applications.
