About The Role

As our newest Installer, you’ll cover our northern suburbs run, carrying out home modifications for clients across that patch. This role suits someone based in Adelaide’s northern or western suburbs, or the Adelaide Hills, anywhere that puts you within easy reach of your daily run. As with any HiLine Installer, there’s also an expectation that you’ll drive and service jobs anywhere across the Adelaide metro area and regionally from time to time, wherever work is booked, and step in to cover other Installers’ runs while they’re on leave.

Please note: we’re not able to consider applicants based in the southern suburbs for this particular role, as that area is already covered by a number of team members. Day to day, though, you won’t be expected to drive to our St Marys workshop every day. You’ll head straight to your jobs from home, working independently across your own run, which our scheduling team plans for you, with a bit of flexibility built into each day to handle the unexpected, a client not home, or a job that’s run over. From time to time you’ll swing by the workshop to restock, but the north is where you’ll spend most of your week. We’re after someone friendly and approachable, with patience, integrity and a knack for staying organised, because at the end of the day, your work directly helps people live more safely and independently at home.

 What You’ll Be Doing

•       Installing grab rails, handrails, hand showers, steps, mag catches and door reversals in clients’ homes

•       Lending a hand to the carpentry team on larger onsite ramp builds

•       Prepping items for installation and transporting materials in your company van

•       Completing and submitting job sheets and paperwork accurately

•       Keeping the supervisor in the loop and flagging any onsite issues promptly

•       Running daily/weekly safety checks (Safe365)

•       Snapping before-and-after photos of your work via Company Cam

About You

•       3+ years’ relevant experience in carpentry, cabinetry and/or installations

•       A Certificate III or equivalent trade qualification in Carpentry or Cabinetry

•       Experience in residential renovations or modifications

•       A current White Card and full driver’s license with a clean driving record

•       A high degree of empathy and a genuinely strong work ethic

•       Approachable, personable, patient and organised

•       Comfortable working independently, unsupervised, and just as comfortable as part of a team

•       Strong problem-solving skills and the initiative to use them

•       A sharp eye for detail and accuracy

•       Physically up for hands-on, active work

•       Confident enough with a mobile phone and apps to keep on top of job systems

•       You  must be able to lift and carry heavy items, including climbing ladders.

•       You must be able to crouch, squat, kneel, sit and stand for extended periods.

Before You Start

•       Full working rights in Australia

•       Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening

•       Willingness to obtain (or hold) a National Police Check, NDIS Worker Check, Working with Children Check and Aged Care Sector Employment Screening, and to complete mandatory training prior to starting
