The College
The Springfield Anglican College (TSAC) is a coeducational Kindergarten to Year 12 school with an enrolment of approximately 1200 students. TSAC is a leading independent school in the rapidly developing growth corridor of greater South West Brisbane, just 30 minutes from Brisbane CBD.
The College offers a holistic education, and has established a record of excellent academic achievement, wide-ranging cultural and sporting success and a commitment to Christian values and service to others in the Anglican tradition. The College comprises of two campuses, dedicated to Primary and Secondary schooling, respectively.
The Role
The Springfield Anglican College is seeking an exceptional and values-driven Religious and Values Education (RaVE) Coordinator. This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2027.
This newly created Leadership and Teaching position will see you support and help shape the strategic direction for Religious and Values Education across both our Primary and Secondary campuses while teaching students from Prep to 12. The RaVE Coordinator will lead curriculum, staff capability and program development that supports the spiritual and values formation of every student.
As an inspiring educator and curriculum leader, you will foster curiosity, critical thinking, respectful dialogue and personal reflection, supporting students to develop a deeper understanding of themselves, others, and the world around them. Working closely with the Director of Teaching and Learning, College Chaplain and teaching colleagues, you will contribute to the spiritual life of the College and promote a learning environment that nurtures student wellbeing, character formation and academic growth.
This role also includes active participation in pastoral care, co-curricular programs, and the broader life of our vibrant school community.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight of Religious and Values Education across the College.
Lead the implementation, review and ongoing development of the ASC Southern Queensland Shared Syllabus and supporting staff in the effective delivery of the framework from Prep to 12.
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and age-appropriate Religious and Values Education programs aligned with relevant curriculum frameworks.
Foster safe, respectful and inclusive discussions relating to faith, ethics, philosophy and values.
Assess and monitor student learning progress, providing meaningful feedback to support growth and achievement.
Collaborate with the College Chaplain, leadership team and teaching staff to strengthen the spiritual life of the College.
Contribute to worship, service-learning initiatives and the promotion of the Anglican ethos.
Build positive partnerships with students, parents and colleagues to support holistic student development.
About You
The successful candidate will possess:
Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) registration or the ability to obtain.
Demonstrated experience teaching Religious and Values Education, Religious Studies or a related discipline.
An appreciation of, and commitment to, the Anglican ethos and values of the College.
Experience leading curriculum development and fostering excellence in teaching and learning.
A sound understanding of contemporary pedagogical practices and the Australian Curriculum.
The ability to engage students across a broad age range from Primary to Secondary schooling.
Strong interpersonal, communication and relationship-building skills.
