Full-Time Paint Salesperson

About the role

You'll be responsible for helping customers choose the right paints, colours and products for their projects, while providing excellent service and maintaining a well-presented paint department.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting retail and trade customers with paint and product selection

• Driving sales across department with prep, paint and accessories

• Providing advice on colours, finishes and application

• Mixing and tinting paint accurately

• Processing sales and operating the point-of-sale system

• Keeping the paint department clean, organised and well stocked

• Ordering, receiving and replenishing stock

• Driving promotions in store with merchandising displays

• Building positive relationships with customers, tradies, suppliers and our Mitre 10 team

About you

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Reliable, enthusiastic and well presented

• Enjoys working with people

• Strong interest in paint, decorating, DIY or home improvement

• Can work independently as well as part of a team

• Previous paint or hardware experience (preferred, but not essential for the right candidate)
