Site Manager, Commercial Fit-out & Refurbishment

Full-time, permanent Site Manager role based in Sydney Commercial fit-out and refurbishment across healthcare, education, workplace, hospitality and retail Director-led business with 20 years of delivery and a strong Sydney pipeline
Sense Projects is an independent Australian construction management company. Since 2006 we've delivered projects across workplace, healthcare, education, hospitality and retail, with the vast majority of our work coming from repeat clients.
We're looking for a Sydney-based Site Manager who takes safety, quality and site presentation seriously, and who enjoys running a tidy, well-organised site where trades know exactly what's expected of them.
What you'll be doing:Running day-to-day site operations and coordinating trades to the program and process controls Leading safety on site: inductions, toolbox talks, daily briefings and weekly workplace inspections Implementing our IMS, Quality, OHS and Environmental systems (we're certified to ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001) Identifying and assessing hazards, and facilitating SWMS and Safe Work Instructions with trades Enforcing PPE and safe work procedures, and leading by example every single day Maintaining site establishment to a high standard: sign-in registers, signage, protection, amenities, first aid supplies and meeting areas Keeping induction and training registers current and audit-ready Making sure plant operators complete daily pre-start checks before equipment goes to work, and that records are kept Managing incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences through to close-out Being the go-to for WHSE advice for everyone who steps on site
What you'll bring:Proven experience as a Site Manager or Site Foreman on commercial fit-out or refurbishment projectsWhite Card, plus First Aid and Construction Supervisor / Cert IV WHS (or willingness to obtain)Experience working in live, occupied buildings, where after-hours and staged works don't faze youStrong communication skills with subcontractors, consultants and client representativesGenuine ownership of safety culture, not just paperwork compliance
Nice to have: experience with Procore and BuildPass, or confidence picking up site management and digital induction software quickly.
