Disability Support Worker (Casual) Gembrook, Officer, Rosebud and Mentone

Based in Melbourne, Victoria CareNeeds is a registered NDIS and Aged Care provider servicing Victoria. Our mission is to assist our clients in reaching their full potential and living life to the fullest.

We are looking for experienced, reliable, committed and compassionate Disability Support Workers, who want to make a difference by supporting our NDIS participants in achieving goals and living as independently as possible.

We currently have hours available with participants in Gembrook, Officer, Narre Warren, Rosebud and Mentone. Please do not respond if you are not prepared to travel to any of these areas. This is in home care and assistance.

These roles will involve many of the following:

· Social support

· Transportation to medical, community and other appointments and activities

· Recreational activities

· Personal care

· Light domestic duties

· Meal preparation

· Assisting with Therapy programs

· Attractive base hourly rates commencing at $39.00 (before superannuation, penalties and shift loadings will be paid on top of this for weekend work, afternoon and night shift, public holidays and broken shift allowances as per the relevant award)

Skills and Experience

You will also need to have the following:

· Minimum of 2 years hands on experience working in the disability or Aged Care Industries

· Demonstrated experience working with Challenging Behaviours and Behaviours of Concern - this is a must

· Two contactable professional references

· Already have a valid and in date NDIS Worker Screen

· Employee Working with Children Check

· HLTAID003 First Aid Certificate with current CPR

· Drivers Licence and Vechicle - must be registered and insured

· Experience in a broad range of disabilities and support would be advantageous
