Deputy Principal - Collingwood Park State Secondary College

Collingwood Park State Secondary College is a growing, vibrant new secondary school located in the heart of the Ipswich corridor. Established in 2025, the College is building an exciting new school culture, with a strong focus on high expectations, positive relationships, student achievement and creating opportunities for every young person to thrive.

As the College continues to grow towards its full capacity, this is an exciting time to join our leadership team. Our growing enrolment, expanding facilities and development of Years 7-12 provide an opportunity for leaders to help shape the future direction of the College and leave a lasting legacy.

About the Role:

This is an opportunity to work collaboratively within a dynamic leadership team and contribute to the continued development of a new school. The successful applicant will bring strong instructional and organisational leadership, a commitment to developing staff capability, and the ability to lead strategically while remaining highly connected to the day-to-day experiences of students and staff.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Strategic Educational Leadership: Support the Principal in developing and implementing a shared educational vision focused on achieving high-quality learning outcomes for every student, while deputising for the Principal when required.
• Values-Based and Inclusive Leadership: Demonstrate ethical, values-driven leadership and embed socially just, inclusive and equitable practices throughout the school community.
• High Expectations and Professional Excellence: Set high standards for student and staff performance, promote a culture of continuous improvement, and actively engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
• Community Partnerships and Future Focus: Build strong partnerships with parents, government agencies, community organisations, industry and business, while maintaining a strategic and future-focused approach to school improvement.
• Governance and Resource Management: Apply relevant legislation and policies and effectively manage people, resources and priorities to achieve school goals and deliver positive outcomes for students and the wider school community.
