We are seeking a skilled and experienced Licensed Welder to join our growing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on a wide variety of structural steel and construction projects while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and safety.

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG, TIG and FCAW welding on structural steel components in accordance with engineering drawings and welding specifications.
• Interpret and work from technical drawings, fabrication plans and welding procedures.
• Prepare, cut, fit and assemble steel components prior to welding.
• Inspect weld preparations and completed welds to ensure compliance with Australian Standards and quality requirements.
• Operate welding equipment and associated fabrication machinery safely and efficiently.
• Carry out repairs and modifications to fabricated steel components where required.
• Ensure all welding activities comply with workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting of welding equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers, fabricators and project teams to achieve production and project deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work and report any quality or safety issues.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fabrication efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

• Ideally a relevant trade qualification as a Welder (Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent).
• Current welding licences and/or qualifications relevant to structural steel fabrication.
• Minimum 3 years of full-time experience in structural steel fabrication and welding.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
• Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques and quality control requirements.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Construction industry experience will be highly regarded.

A salary of $80,000 - $100,000 + superannuation will be offered to the successful candidate.
