Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is Victoria’s newest public mental health service dedicated to the care of young people aged 12 to 25 experiencing complex mental health challenges.
PYMHWS is leading a bold and values-driven transformation in youth mental health care across Melbourne’s north and west. We exist to walk alongside young people, their families, carers, supporters and kin delivering care that is accessible, inclusive, developmentally appropriate, evidence-informed, and grounded in lived experience. Our service model is shaped by the voices of young people and their communities, and underpinned by a commitment to safety, equity, and continuous learning.

The Opportunity:
Parkville Youth Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (PYMHWS) is looking for an experienced Psychosocial Health Lead to join our Health, Safety & Wellbeing team and lead the next phase of our psychosocial health and safety program. This is a senior specialist role with genuine organisational scope.
You’ll work across clinical, operational and corporate teams to strengthen how we identify, assess and control psychosocial hazards, with a particular focus on work design, occupational violence and aggression, trauma exposure, psychological safety, early intervention and organisational wellbeing.
Rather than focusing on standalone wellbeing initiatives, this role is about building sustainable systems that prevent harm, strengthen recovery and embed psychosocial health and safety into how work is designed, led and delivered.

We’re looking for someone who can combine strong technical knowledge with practical organisational influence.
You will bring:
Experience in mental health, healthcare, community services or another high-risk human services environment would be highly regarded, as would experience in occupational violence, trauma exposure or critical incident recovery.
