Apprentice Auto Electrician / Car AC Technician ( New, 1st 2nd or 3rd year)

This is a rare opportunity to join Brisbane’s leading car air conditioning and 4WD 12V specialists. From rewiring dual-battery systems and installing complete off-grid power setups to diagnosing complex air-conditioning and electrical faults, you’ll gain real skills through hands-on experience.

At Jack Frost Car Air Conditioning and 4X4 OFFROAD, we don’t just fix vehicles, we build capable touring setups, solve complex problems, and keep drivers cool, safe, powered, and adventure-ready.

You’ll receive practical training, genuine mentoring, exposure to a wide range of work, and the opportunity to build a long-term career in a growing and specialised industry.

• Learn to diagnose, service and repair automotive air conditioning systems

• Assist with A/C regassing, leak detection, compressor and condenser replacements

• Support 12-volt accessory installations – including dual battery systems, lighting, fridges, solar panels, UHF radios & electric brake controllers

• Support the team on both workshop-based and custom fitout jobs

• Help maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment

• Get mentored by experienced technicians in a supportive, down-to-earth environment

• Genuine passion for cars, 4WDs, and hands-on mechanical work

• A switched-on, practical thinker who can assess problems, troubleshoot issues, and work towards solutions

• Able to use common sense, follow instructions, and think independently when challenges arise

• Eager to learn, show initiative, and build a long-term career

• Great attitude and work ethic — reliable, punctual, and keen to get stuck in

• Year 10 or above completed; driver’s licence preferred but not essential

• No prior experience required, although mechanical or automotive experience would be beneficial — enthusiasm and a willingness to learn matter most
