About the role
If you want to make a difference by having a positive impact on peoples’ lives, then a career with Independence Australia Group (AQA) may be for you.
About us
AQA was established in 1987 by a group of people with quadriplegia who saw a need to improve access to information, support and employment opportunities for people who had sustained a spinal cord injury (SCI) – particularly quadriplegia.
Today AQA continues to provide individualised supports to people with spinal cord injury and other physical disabilities. To read more about us, visit independenceaustralia.com.au.
About the role
We are seeking a patient, compassionate, and reliable Support Worker to provide dedicated in-home support to a softly spoken female client in the Brighton area.
Working as part of a 2:1 team alongside a second support worker, you will assist with morning personal care routines, complex bowel and urinary care, portable hoist transfers, meal preparation, and light domestic tasks. As our client has speech difficulties, patience and strong communication skills are essential. This role starts ASAP and is ideal for someone seeking consistent morning shifts in a supportive, pet-friendly environment as our client has her own pets.
