Warehouse Storeperson

About the role

Goodchild Enterprises are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse Storeperson to join our team at our Cockburn Central/Yangebup locations in Western Australia. This is a full-time position that combines driving and warehouse duties, playing a crucial role in our warehousing, storage and distribution operations. You will be responsible for both transporting goods safely and efficiently, as well as moving stock between our warehouse facilities. This role is essential to ensuring our customers receive their deliveries on time and our warehouses operate smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport goods to designated locations safely and professionally

• Plan and execute efficient delivery routes whilst adhering to traffic regulations and company safety policies

• Receive, check and process incoming and outgoing inventory

• Organise and maintain stock in the warehouse, ensuring items are correctly stored and easily accessible

• Pack, label and prepare items for dispatch according to customer specifications

• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts

• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the warehouse and vehicles

• Communicate with team members and management regarding delivery status and warehouse operations

What we're looking for

• Valid heavy vehicle driver's licence (MR truck endorsements minimum)[Not required but favourable]

• Warehouse or stock handling experience is highly desirable

• Forklift licence

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent time management and organisational skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy batteries regularly

• Reliable, punctual and committed to meeting deadlines

• Excellent communication skills
