As a Wellington Caves Complex Ground and Building Maintenance Officer, you'll play a hands‑on role in creating unforgettable visitor experiences while protecting and enhancing one of the region's most iconic tourism destinations.
Working part-time (20 hours per week across Friday to Monday), you'll enjoy three weekdays off every week perfect for maintaining lifestyle balance, study, or other commitments.
You will care for, maintain and improve the caves complex, grounds and facilities, making a visible difference to how visitors, families and the local community experience the site.
With a diverse mix of outdoor and practical work, you'll take ownership of your impact, build valuable skills, and enjoy the support of a close‑knit team all while maintaining a great work–life balance and staying connected to your local community.
Whether you're an experienced maintenance professional, a hands‑on all‑rounder, or someone with practical experience in areas such as gardening, cleaning or facility upkeep, this role offers the opportunity to put your skills to good use in a unique outdoor environment.

What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
Demonstrated relevant experience and job-related skills including garden maintenance, janitorial duties and minor repairs
Working knowledge in building maintenance, security and safety/risk management systems.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
General administrative skills demonstrating a competent level of literacy, numeracy and basic computer skills.
We would also love you to have:
Trade Certificate or relevant industry experience
Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in the general operations of a Tourist Attraction and/or Caravan Park
Previous experience in pool maintenance

This position offers an attractive annual salary
ranging from $58,443 to $67,886 pro rata plus superannuation.
