An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Residential Design Officer to join our team in a flexible part-time role, helping to shape quality residential development outcomes and enhance our local community. Working as part of the Building Services team, you will assess Development Applications for residential properties and provide specialist advice to internal and external customers. You will prepare detailed written reports supporting the Development Approval or Refusal, undertake site inspections as required, and work collaboratively with applicants, ratepayers and other interested parties to ensure the consistent and fair application of Residential Design Code principles. This is a rewarding opportunity to apply your technical expertise while contributing to positive planning outcomes and delivering high-quality customer service.

We are looking for a confident and customer-focused individual with comprehensive knowledge of the Residential Design Codes of Western Australia, strong attention to detail, and well-developed communication and negotiation skills. This role will suit candidates with previous experience as an Urban Planner or Planning Officer.

This position offers a gross salary of $102,707 per annum (this will be pro rata for part time).
