Reception/Equine Vet Nurse

About us

Oldbury Equine Clinic is an equine-only veterinary clinic with a high percentage of sports horse and pleasure/family horses. 40% of our consults are clinic based with the other 60% being conducted on clients properties. The position is for a clinic-based role. We have the latest diagnostic equipment including cordless x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy/gastroscopy, and a fully equipped lab. We presently have a team of 4 experienced equine vets working full and part time positions and team of 4 nurses/receptionists. We are looking to expand our nurse/reception team with another part time member. We are a family based and focused business. Every member of our team is as important as another and your happiness is our priority. Qualifications & experience

• Front of house people skills is essential. We are looking for a happy, fun, vibrant personality for front of house to welcome clients and fit in with our enthusiastic team.

• Ability to work independently is essential. We embrace initiative.

• Horse experience useful. Cert 4 Vet Nursing useful but not essential (on job training provided).

• We are keen to find someone who has experience & enthusiasm with social media and would like to take this on within their role.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Confident with phone calls and client interaction. Booking appointments & diary scheduling. Taking payment for services via eftpos.

• Assisting handling, running up and treating horses.

• Stocking vehicles & identifying clinic restocking needs. Cleaning clinic and equipment.
