Kitchen Hand - Pot Washing Experience

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Pot Wash & Kitchen Assistant to join our food production team for an immediate start.

This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role combining pot washing and cleaning with assisting in food production. A key part of the role is maintaining clean and hygienic production areas, utensils, containers and equipment. You will also be trained to assist with food preparation, filling, packing and other production tasks as required.

You will report to the Production Manager, with duties changing throughout the day depending on production requirements.

You must be available to work 5 days per week, Monday to Friday. Shifts generally start between 6:00am and 8:00am and finish between 3:00pm and 5:00pm, depending on production requirements.

• Wash and clean pots, utensils, containers, trays and production equipment

• Clean and maintain production and pot wash areas to a high hygiene standard

• Sterilise containers and equipment as required

• Follow cleaning procedures, food safety requirements and HACCP practices

• Assist with food production as directed by the Production Manager

• Assist with preparation of ingredients

• Assist with filling, closing and packing containers

• Move between cleaning and production duties depending on daily requirements

• Keep work areas clean, organised and safe

• Carry out other duties allocated by the Production Manager within your training and assessed skills

• Available to work 5 days per week, Monday to Friday

• Available for shifts starting between 6:00am and 8:00am

• Available for an immediate start

• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn

• Comfortable with pot washing and cleaning as a regular part of the role

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual work

• Able to work efficiently in a busy food production environment

• Good communication and listening skills

• Good attention to detail, particularly with cleaning and hygiene

• Able to follow instructions and food safety procedures

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, pot wash, food production or similar environment is desirable

• Must have Australian working rights and be able to provide appropriate identification or work entitlement documentation
