About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our Distribution team at our Clayton manufacturing facility.
Shift: Afternoon Shift – 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm
Reporting to the Distribution Manager, this is a permanent, hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. You will lead by example, working alongside your team to ensure products are received, stored and dispatched safely, accurately and efficiently.
This is an on-site position and, due to the operational nature of the role, working from home is not available.
About the RoleAs Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team while ensuring the warehouse operates safely, efficiently and in line with company standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supervising the daily warehouse operation to achieve safety, service and productivity targets.
Working alongside the team undertaking picking, packing, receipting, loading, unloading and dispatch activities.
Planning workloads and allocating resources to meet customer delivery requirements.
Operating forklifts and warehouse equipment when required.
Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS), manual handling procedures, housekeeping standards and company policies.
Coaching, mentoring and developing team members while fostering a positive, accountable and safety-focused culture.
Coordinating inbound and outbound freight, inventory movements and warehouse transactions.
Maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts and investigating stock discrepancies.
Liaising with transport providers and drivers to ensure efficient freight movements.
Responding promptly to operational issues, damaged stock and workplace incidents.
Providing regular updates and performance reporting to the Distribution Manager.
Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse performance.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Previous experience supervising or leading a warehouse or distribution team.
A minimum of five years' experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment.
A current Forklift Licence.
Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management and dispatch processes.
A sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Strong leadership, communication and people management skills.
Well-developed problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
The ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced operational environment.
A qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (desirable).
Unrestricted Australian work rights.
