About the role
The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for Parliamentary Services Level 5 and Parliamentary Services Level 6 Systems and Infrastructure Administrator roles within the Cyber Security Branch.
The Information Services Division (ISD) delivers ICT services to DPS staff and users of the Parliamentary computing network and ICT facilities. Within ISD, the Network Security Operations section supports the secure, reliable and effective operation of ICT infrastructure services across on-site, data centre, virtualised, cloud and hybrid environments.
These roles will contribute to the administration, support and continuous improvement of DPS-managed infrastructure platforms, including server operating systems, compute, storage, backup, monitoring, virtualisation, cloud and hybrid infrastructure capabilities. The roles will support day-to-day operational services, incident and service request resolution, infrastructure refresh activities, and the transition of project outcomes into sustainable operational support.
The Systems and Infrastructure Administrator role will provide ICT systems and infrastructure administration support under limited direction, helping maintain reliable services, perform routine administration activities, support approved changes, contribute to documentation, and work collaboratively with technical teams, vendors and service providers.
The Senior Systems and Infrastructure Administrator role will provide senior technical support and advice across more complex infrastructure activities, including planning and coordinating changes, resolving complex incidents, supporting infrastructure migration and transition work, improving operational standards and procedures, and sharing technical knowledge across the team.
