About the role
We're excited to welcome a Registered Nurse/ Registered Midwife to our Neonatal Unit Hospital in the Home service - NOURISH.
The Neonatal Unit health care team provide acute inpatient neonatal care to infants and their families through a family-centred and developmentally supportive model of care. This is achieved through close collaboration between staff and parents and is supported by the architectural design of the unit which facilitates individualised care and parents as partners in care.
The service receives support from Level 6 tertiary facilities via telehealth services. Close collaboration with the state-wide neonatal retrieval team facilitates the transfer of neonates requiring more complex care to a CSCF Level 6 Neonatal Service. SCUH accepts back transfers of SCHHS infants who have required care from higher level services.
As an extension of the inpatient care provided in the SCUH Neonatal Unit, care to eligible infants can be delivered through a hospital in the home service – NOURISH.
