Due to ongoing business and project requirements, the company is seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join its team full-time. The Carpenter will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of carpentry duties across residential and commercial construction, renovation, and repair projects. The role requires practical trade skills, the ability to read and interpret plans and specifications, and the capacity to work safely and efficiently both independently and as part of a construction team Benefits Ongoing, full-time employment with a growing construction business.

Task & responsibilities Construct, erect, install, renovate, and repair structures and fixtures using timber, plywood, wallboard, lightweight steel, aluminium, and other materials. Interpret construction drawings, plans, specifications, and compliance requirements to determine materials, dimensions, and work layouts. Measure, mark, cut, shape, assemble, and join timber, aluminium, plywood, MDF, and other materials using hand and power tools.

Install partition wall and ceiling frameworks, flooring systems, soffits, cladding supports, doors, windows, fascia, skirting, architraves, and other fittings. Install external aluminium and fibre cement cladding, soffits, access panels, and associated finishing elements. Perform formwork, structural carpentry, framing, bracing, and precision assembly of building components where required.

Repair, modify, and maintain existing building structures, cladding, fittings, doors, windows, and other fixtures. Select, order, source, and prepare timber and construction materials and work layouts in accordance with plans and specifications. Ensure all work meets Australian building and trade standards, WHS requirements, project specifications, and company quality standards.

Coordinate with supervisors, site managers, contractors, and other trades to complete work safely, efficiently, and within project timelines. Qualification & experience Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent. Minimum 1 year of relevant carpentry/construction experience.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings. Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.

Basic understanding of Australian WHS requirements.
