About the role
Our Company
We are a Beenleigh based fabrication and manufacturing business, who design, manufacture, install and maintain custom built conveyors and equipment for the food & beverage and some general industries.
We are seeking a full-time qualified fabrication workshop supervisor to lead our fabrication team for both workshop and Brisbane-based on-site works (installation, fabrication and maintenance).
As the Workshop Supervisor, you will play a key role in coordinating the workshop team, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to the highest standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supporting a team of workshop fabricators and fitters
Coordinating workflow and job allocation
Performing diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on equipment
Ensuring compliance with safety standards and company procedures
Assisting with training and mentoring of team members
ESSENTIAL Requirements for the position
Applicants must hold a Fabrication Trade qualification with Minimum 3 years experience
Proven experience in leading a proactive team
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to lead and organize a team
Strong problem-solving ability to ensure delivery of a quality product
welding stainless steel fabrication in food industries.
Accurate and tidy TIG Welding Skills
Ability to interpret AutoCAD drawings
High level of pride in workmanship and attention to detail
Factory floor test prior to starting
Supervisor training
MIG skills an advantage
Key attributes:
High level of attention to detail, work standards and commitment to health and safety a must.
A positive, “can-do” attitude with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and ability to handle pressure at various times
Excellent time management skills and a strong commitment to quality control
Reliable and punctual with a positive work ethic is highly regarded
Self motivated with initiative and the ability to work unsupervised.
Flexible to perform overtime or weekend work when required
Applicant must have current drivers license and reliable transport.
Forklift ticket and/or EWP an advantage
This role is based in our Beenleigh workshop and will require local site work as required. Remuneration package is above award and will be commensurate with experience
Monday to Thursday 6am to 2.30pm;
Friday 6am to 12pm;
Overtime and weekend work will be required
