About the role
The Performing Arts Coordinator is a middle leadership position responsible for ensuring the management, resourcing and delivery of the Performing Arts program across the College. This covers co-curricular (inter-House, inter-School and community) performing arts opportunities, ensuring that students have access to and are actively encouraged to participate in the drama, dance and musical life of the College. The Performing Arts Coordinator works collaboratively with the Leader of Learning (Creative Arts) and Head of Houses to embrace the performance opportunities across the College.
Key responsibilities
Coordinate, schedule and promote in school performances, rehearsals, choir, and major co-curricular events (e.g., Nightcliff Seabreeze Festival, Harmony Day Soiree)
Lead auditions, rehearsals, sets, costumes, and props for major College Musical and Creative Arts Festival
Oversee technical aspects (sound, lighting, and stage setup) for College assemblies, liturgies and Masses
Empower students to take on creative leadership, student-led artistic projects, and participation in local and national competitions
Manage marketing strategies for key events and coordinate logistics for performance excursions and educational workshops/masterclasses
About you
Four-year trained teacher qualifications with active (or eligibility for) Teacher Registration Board (TRB) NT accreditation
Proven experience in directing and coordinating drama, dance, or musical performances
Current NT Ochre Card (Working with Children Check) from SAFE NT
Strong familiarity with theatrical lighting, sound, and technological equipment
Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and administrative skills to partner with staff, families, and external support agencies
A commitment to maintaining Duty of Care, Work Health & Safety standards, and active participation in school life (e.g Parent/ Teacher evening, transition events)
Australian citizen or resident
Driver's License
