Deck Restoration Labourer

About the role

DeckSeal Mornington Peninsula is seeking a Deck Restoration Labourer to join our team. This is a hands-on position based across the Mornington Peninsula, where you will support our experienced deck restoration specialists in delivering high-quality results for our valued customers. As a Deck Restoration Labourer, you will play a vital role in preparing, treating and finishing timber and composite decking surfaces, ensuring every project meets our exacting standards. This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for outdoor work in the trades and services sector.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing deck surfaces through cleaning, sanding and stripping existing finishes

• Assisting in the application of protective coatings, sealers and treatments to timber and composite decking

• Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete restoration tasks

• Maintaining work areas and ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained

• Following health and safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times

• Communicating effectively with team members to ensure projects stay on schedule

What we're looking for

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour for extended periods

• A strong work ethic and commitment to delivering quality workmanship

• Reliability and punctuality is important for work scheduling

• Basic understanding of health and safety requirements in the construction and trades sector

• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from experienced supervisors

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Experience with hand tools and power tools is advantageous but not essential – training will be provided

• A valid driver's licence and own motor vehicle is required for travelling to various job sites

• No formal qualifications are required; however, a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the work are essential
