What We Expect Of You

Australian Working Rights is essential. Sponsorship will not be offered for this role. Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field or minimum 1 year experience in a similar finance role, preferably in the hotel industry. Ability to demonstrate leadership. A proactive and upbeat demeanor that inspires excellence. Keen to take on new challenges and grow within your career. What You Will Do

Provide essential support to the hotel’s finance team, playing a key role in day-to-day financial operations mainly focusing on Accounts Payable. Responsible for accurate and timely internal and external audit requirements and Asset and Liability reconciliationsMonitor and process weekly payment runs to ensure payment of invoice in line with supplier requirementsProvide Month End accruals on a timely basis; flag any possible cost concerns to finance management as soon as identified to ensure accurate financial reportingLiaise with Purchasing, Receiving and Department Heads to ensure Open Purchase Orders are reviewed on monthly basisAssist Income Audit and Accounts Receivable functions, financial reporting and reconciliationSupport Finance Manager in overseeing daily Income Audit processes, including review of revenue reports, verification of postings, cash/credit card reconciliations, cash machine, F&B credits and investigation of variances in accordance with company policies and proceduresSafeguard assets, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reportingCollaborates with the finance team to ensure compliance, enhance operational efficiency and uphold accountabilityCheck figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codesPerform any other duties as assigned and reasonably requested to meet business needs
