Assistant Venue Manager

About the role

Meadow Music Room is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Assistant Venue Manager to join our dynamic hospitality team. This is a part-time position based in Cronulla, NSW, offering an exciting opportunity to support the seamless operation of our new venue whilst developing your management expertise.

Reporting to the Venue Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service delivery, maintaining operational standards, and creating memorable experiences for our guests. This position is integral to the day-to-day functioning of our establishment and contributes significantly to our reputation for excellence.

What you'll be doing

• Supporting the VM in overseeing all aspects of venue operations, including FOH & BOH

• Using SevenRooms to manage bookings, reservations and table turns

• Using Deputy to assist with rostering, scheduling and staff coordination

• Supervising and coordinating staff members, providing direction, training and performance feedback to ensure high service standards

• Managing customer service interactions, addressing guest concerns and ensuring satisfaction with their experience

• Monitoring venue cleanliness, maintenance and compliance with health and safety regulations

• Assisting with inventory management, stock control and ordering

• Supporting the planning and execution of events and special promotions to maximise revenue and guest engagement

• Using SevenRooms to manage bookings, reservations and table turns

• Implementing and maintaining operational procedures and policies in line with company standards

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a similar venue

• Strong leadership and team management capabilities

• Excellent customer service skills

• Outstanding organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment

• Proficient communication skills

• Knowledge of hospitality management systems and point-of-sale technology

• Flexibility and availability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
