HVAC Technician – 4th Year Apprentice or Qualified

NCG Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a talented HVAC Technician – 4th Year Apprentice or Qualified to join our growing team in Oakleigh South, Victoria. This is a full-time position offering an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Whether you're in your final year of apprenticeship or a recently qualified technician, you'll be working on diverse projects in both residential and commercial environments, contributing to the comfort and safety of our clients. This role offers hands-on experience, mentorship from experienced professionals, and the chance to build a rewarding career in the trades.

What you'll be doing

• Installing HVAC and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial and industrial settings

• Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints and system schematics

• Testing systems using appropriate tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance

• Completing detailed job reports and documentation for all work undertaken

• Liaising with clients to understand their requirements and provide professional advice on system options

• Adhering to all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards and company procedures

• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment and vehicle

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in 4th year of an HVAC apprenticeship or recently completed your full qualification in air conditioning and refrigeration

• Sound knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems, components and operational principles

• Competency with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment commonly used in the trade

• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems relevant to heating and cooling applications

• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and system diagrams

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and customer service abilities

• Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work

• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to job sites

• Current First Aid certification (desirable)

• Knowledge of refrigerant recovery and handling in compliance with environmental regulations (desirable)
