About the role
About Your Family OT
Your Family OT Pty Ltd is an Occupational Therapist-owned and OT-led practice supporting NDIS participants across Brisbane. We have developed a strong reputation with participants, families, support coordinators and referral partners, resulting in a consistent and diverse referral base.
While we are particularly well known for our paediatric services, we work with participants across the lifespan and support individuals with a wide range of disabilities, functional presentations and support needs. This provides our Occupational Therapists with the opportunity to work across a diverse caseload, with consideration given to individual clinical interests, experience and areas for professional development.
We believe in doing things properly rather than simply ticking boxes. Our focus is on delivering comprehensive assessment, high-quality reporting and evidence-based therapy that makes a meaningful difference to a participant's independence, functional capacity, safety and participation in everyday life.
Our team work alongside each other from our Bowen Hills clinic while also providing services within participants' homes, schools and community environments. This model provides regular opportunities for collaboration, clinical discussion, formal and informal supervision and shared problem-solving.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join Your Family OT Pty Ltd in a permanent, full-time position.
This is a senior clinical role combining the delivery of high-quality Occupational Therapy services with opportunities to provide clinical leadership, support less experienced clinicians and Allied Health Assistants and contribute to the ongoing development of our clinical practice.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will work with NDIS participants across the lifespan and manage a diverse caseload that may include participants with complex disability and support needs. You will undertake comprehensive assessments, develop and evaluate individualised therapeutic interventions, complete complex clinical reports and provide recommendations aimed at maximising participants' independence and participation in daily living, education, work, leisure and community activities.
Depending on your areas of expertise, the role may also include complex assistive technology, home modifications, housing and home and living assessments, SIL and ILO evidence, and other complex NDIS assessments.
You will also play an important role in supporting the clinical development of the broader team through mentoring, supervision, case discussion, review of clinical work and sharing of professional knowledge.
Key Clinical Responsibilities
Your clinical responsibilities will include:
Senior and Clinical Leadership Responsibilities
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will contribute to the clinical development and quality of the Your Family OT team while maintaining your own clinical caseload. Responsibilities will include:
This role is suited to an experienced Occupational Therapist who enjoys complex clinical practice while also supporting the development of other clinicians.
Qualifications and Essential Requirements
To be considered for this position, you will require:
Experience within the NDIS and demonstrated skills in areas such as Functional Capacity Assessment, complex report writing, assistive technology, home modifications, SIL/ILO or complex disability are highly regarded.
Why Join Your Family OT?
This is an opportunity to take on a genuine senior clinical role while remaining actively involved in Occupational Therapy practice.
You will work alongside our clinicians in our shared Bowen Hills office, creating opportunities for real-time collaboration, case discussion and mentoring. Rather than senior support occurring only through scheduled meetings, our team model allows experienced clinicians to provide and receive clinical input throughout the working week.
We offer:
Career Development
Being a Senior Occupational Therapist does not mean you have to move away from clinical practice.
Senior clinicians who enjoy leadership can continue developing their skills in clinical supervision, mentoring, staff training and broader clinical leadership. Alternatively, clinicians who prefer a predominantly clinical pathway can continue developing expertise in complex assessment, assistive technology, home modifications, housing, SIL/ILO and other advanced areas of Occupational Therapy practice.
Our aim is to provide a pathway that recognises advanced clinical capability while allowing clinicians to develop in the areas that best suit their professional strengths and interests.
Who Would Suit This Role?
This position would suit an experienced Occupational Therapist who is confident working with a degree of clinical autonomy while also valuing collaboration and being part of a connected team.
You may already be working as a Senior Occupational Therapist, or you may be an experienced clinician who is ready to progress into a senior position and take on greater responsibility for mentoring and supporting others.
You will particularly suit our team if you enjoy complex clinical problem-solving, value high-quality assessment and report writing, are comfortable sharing your knowledge with other clinicians, and want to contribute to the development of a growing Occupational Therapy practice.

If you are an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for a full-time Senior Occupational Therapist position in Brisbane that combines complex clinical practice, professional autonomy, collaboration and opportunities to support the development of other clinicians, we would love to hear from you.
