Langford Support Services is looking for an experienced operational leader to lead our Community Access and Day Service programs.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being close to service delivery, developing people and improving the way things are done.
As Program Manager, Community Access, you will lead Team Leaders and frontline teams to deliver high-quality, rights-based and person-centred supports that help people with disability build independence, develop skills, make meaningful connections and participate in their communities.
You will also have an important role in shaping the future of our Community Access services, looking beyond traditional activities and helping create genuine opportunities based on each participant's goals, interests and aspirations.
Reporting to the Senior Program Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery, quality and performance of Community Access and Day Services.
Your role will include:
leading, coaching and developing Team Leaders and frontline teams
maintaining a visible leadership presence across services
promoting participant choice, control, independence and meaningful outcomes
monitoring workforce performance, service utilisation, budgets and operational risks
supporting workforce planning, recruitment and employee development
overseeing quality, incidents, complaints, safeguarding and compliance
building strong relationships with participants, families and community partners
developing opportunities for employment, education, volunteering, recreation and social connection
driving service improvement and challenging practices that no longer deliver value.
The role participates in Langford's on-call roster to provide after-hours operational support when required.
You are an experienced leader who can develop people, set clear expectations and build a positive and accountable culture.
You can balance people, participant outcomes, quality and operational performance, make sound decisions and use information to identify where improvement is needed.
Experience in disability services will be highly regarded; however, we also welcome leaders from community services, health, mental health, aged care or other complex service environments.
Diploma or tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience
experience leading operational teams and developing frontline leaders
strong coaching and performance management capability

strong communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
commitment to person-centred, rights-based practice and continuous improvement.
Experience in Community Access, day services or community participation programs and knowledge of the NDIS Practice Standards, Active Support or Frontline Practice Leadership will be highly regarded.
Langford is a Tasmanian not-for-profit and registered NDIS provider committed to improving participant outcomes and strengthening the way we deliver services.
Guided by our values Committed, Innovative and True, this is an opportunity to lead great teams, influence the future of Community Access and create better opportunities for people with disability.
You will require, or need to be able to obtain:
