Registered Nurse - General Practice

Position: Casual Position

Rate: Paid per the Nurses Award dependent on level of experience.

Experience: Experience in GP is preferable, but on job training will be provided for the right candidate.

Temporary Residence/ Permanent Residence sponsorship is available for the right candidate. 

Essential Criteria:

• Must have a current unconditional registration with APHRA

• Current immunisations certificate (or willing to complete training)

• CPR certificate

• Current working with children’s check (WWC)

• Good work ethic, organizational and time management skills

• The ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team

• Ability to work in a face paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Patient liaison and answering phones when required

• Triage of patients

• Chronic disease management plans and health assessments

• Operation of the recall and reminder system

• Stock control and ordering

• Cold chain management

• Testing procedures – ECG and Spirometry

• IV procedures – iron Infusions and venesections

• Wound management

• Immunisations including childhood

• Assisting with minor procedures

• Maintenance of practice equipment

• Support to general practitioners and other staff as required
