HC Driver – Semi Prime Mover Pantech/ Tautliner Local/ Interstate

About the role

MASTERFREIGHT EXPRESS PTY LTD is seeking an experienced HC Driver – Semi Prime Mover Pantech/Tautliner for a contract position based in Kemps Creek, NSW. This role offers the opportunity to operate modern semi prime mover vehicles on both local and interstate routes, contributing to our efficient and reliable transport operations. You will be responsible for safely transporting goods whilst maintaining our high standards of customer service and operational excellence. This is a contract position that offers flexibility and variety across different freight assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate Heavy Combination (HC) semi prime mover vehicles safely and professionally on local and interstate routes

• Transport pantech and tautliner freight loads in accordance with all relevant legislation and safety regulations

• Conduct pre and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues or defects

• Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery documentation and records as required by transport regulations

• Deliver freight to customers on time whilst maintaining exceptional service standards

• Adhere to speed limits, weight restrictions and all road safety regulations

• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers and other team members regarding deliveries and any issues encountered

• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and undertake basic vehicle maintenance where appropriate

• Comply with fatigue management rules and ensure appropriate rest periods during shifts

What we're looking for

• Valid HC (Heavy Combination) or HC/MC driving licence with a clean driving record

• Proven experience driving semi prime mover vehicles with pantech or tautliner configurations

• Demonstrated experience with both local and interstate transport operations

• Knowledge of Australian road transport legislation, including fatigue management regulations and load restraint standards

• Excellent safety record and demonstrated commitment to safe driving practices

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently

• Experience with delivery documentation systems and logbook management

• Physical capability to conduct pre-trip inspections and handle general vehicle maintenance tasks

• Reliability and professional attitude towards work commitments
