Governance & Practice Manager

Kanda operates across disability, aged care, child safety and community health. That's a lot of moving parts — and the governance architecture that holds them together is this role.

As Governance & Practice Manager, you'll own the enterprise policy framework that underpins how care is delivered across every service line. It's a senior, systems-level role that sits at the intersection of clinical authority, regulatory compliance and practice quality — requiring someone who can translate complex obligations into practical structures that operational teams can actually work within.

What you'll be doing

• Owning the enterprise policy framework architecture — structure, document hierarchy, governance rules and standards — across all service lines
• Leading the development and revision of policies and frameworks in response to regulatory change, organisational growth and practice improvement needs
• Translating complex multi-framework regulatory obligations — NDIS Practice Standards, Aged Care Quality Standards, Child Safe Standards, ISO 9001 — into practical governance structures business units can implement
• Coordinating enterprise clinical and practice governance forums including the High Risk and Complex Needs Panel, escalating trends, risks and systemic issues to the CQRSO and ELT
• Leading quality business partnering across business units, embedding governance expectations into day-to-day practice and driving thematic reviews across service lines
• Owning the enterprise quality improvement and workforce capability frameworks, ensuring learnings are acted on and clinical training meets enterprise standards
• Leading clinical governance integration for new entities, acquisitions and service expansions
• Providing structured, evidence-based governance reports to the CQRSO, ELT and Board
• Where professional registration is held, providing direct clinical or practice advice to operational leaders and governance committees commensurate with scope

You're the right person if...

• You hold a postgraduate qualification in Clinical Governance, Health Management, Quality and Safety or a related discipline
• You hold current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse — preferred but not essential
• You bring senior experience in clinical governance, practice governance, quality management or health and human services leadership
• You have demonstrated experience designing enterprise clinical governance frameworks and policy architecture — and translating complex regulatory requirements into practical structures people can actually use
• You've provided clinical governance oversight through governance forums and multi-disciplinary panels
• You've worked across multiple regulatory frameworks simultaneously — NDIS and Aged Care, or NDIS and Child Safety
• You hold a National Police Check, Working with Children and NDIS Worker Screening clearance or are willing to obtain
