Our multidisciplinary team provides services across Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Behaviour Support, Early Childhood Intervention and other disability and community-based supports.
We are growing and have an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced Speech Therapist / Speech Pathologist to join our Allied Health team.
About the Role
As a Speech Therapist at Flourish Holistic Services, you will provide evidence-informed, person-centred assessment and intervention to children, adolescents and adults with a diverse range of communication and functional needs.
Services may be delivered across:
Clinic
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive Speech Pathology assessments.

Develop individualised therapy and intervention plans.

Provide evidence-based speech, language and communication therapy.
-
Support participants with expressive and receptive language difficulties.
-
Assess and provide intervention for speech sound and articulation difficulties.
-
Support social communication and interaction skills.
-
Assess and support participants with complex communication needs.
-
Assess, recommend and implement Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies and systems where appropriate.

Provide early childhood and developmental communication interventions.
-
Support literacy, fluency and functional communication goals.
-
Undertake feeding and swallowing assessment/intervention where clinically qualified and within scope of practice.

Develop home, school and community-based therapy programs.

Provide education and capacity-building strategies to parents, carers and support teams.
-
Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Behaviour Support Practitioners and other professionals.

Prepare high-quality clinical reports, progress reports and therapy documentation.

Contribute to NDIS reviews and recommendations within professional scope.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.

Delegate appropriate therapy activities to Allied Health Assistants and provide supervision where required.

Participate in clinical supervision, professional development and multidisciplinary case discussions.

Maintain professional, ethical and confidentiality standards.
About You

Essential Requirements

Recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology / Speech Therapy.

Eligibility for appropriate Australian professional recognition and/or membership relevant to the position.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong clinical assessment, intervention and documentation skills.
-
Ability to manage a caseload effectively.
-
Commitment to evidence-informed and person-centred practice.
-
Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
-
Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one.
-
Working with Children Check where applicable.
-
National Police Check.
-
Current First Aid and CPR.
-
Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle for community-based services.
