Support Worker (Mental Health & Personal Care) – South East Melbourne

Casual / Part-time | $36–$53 per hour | Flexible shifts

Salelane Healthcare is growing, and we’re looking for compassionate Support Workers who have experience in mental health support and/or personal care to join our South-East Melbourne team.

Locations we currently need

We’re hiring across Melbourne’s South-East, including:
Spotswood • Prahran • Ardeer • Western suburbs

You’ll ideally live locally or be ready to travel to these areas.

What you’ll be doing

Your support will be tailored to each client. Duties may include:

• Personal Care Assistance (low & high care)
  (training provided if you’re newer to personal care)

• Mental health & emotional support in a person-centred way

• Community access & social outings
  (transport, shopping, recreation, appointments)

• In-home social activities & companionship

• Helping clients progress toward personal goals

• Light domestic support to keep the home safe and comfortable

You’re a great fit if you are…

• Person-centred and respectful of dignity, choice, and independence

• Confident working one-on-one in client homes

• Comfortable following care plans while using your initiative

• Able to commit to ongoing client schedules

Essential requirements (must-have)

• Driver’s licence + reliable vehicle

• NDIS Worker Screening Check

• First Aid Certificate

• Working With Children Check

• Smartphone with internet access

• Availability for flexible hours (morning and/or night shifts)

• Experience providing personal care (male or female clients)

Desirable (nice-to-have)

• Certificate III or higher in Age Care / Individual Support
  (highly regarded, not essential)
