Cardijn College is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher to join our Marian Campus for a fixed-term contract during Term 4, 2026. Cardijn College is a leading R-12 co-educational Catholic school established in 1984, deeply connected to the Marist tradition and inspired by the dual charisms of our patrons, Cardinal Joseph Cardijn and St. Marcellin Champagnat.

Cardijn College Marian in Noarlunga Downs enrols students from Years 7 to 12, offering an extensive curriculum alongside a vibrant extra-curricular program to support a range of learning pathways and cater to the varied interests of our students.

Cardijn College Marcellin in Christie Downs has a focus on vocational education and training for students in Years 10 to 12 and beyond, with relationships that extend well into their careers. Marcellin facilitates seamless transitions into professional life through strong industry partnerships, equipping students with the skills and experiences necessary for career success.

Cardijn College Galilee in Aldinga enrols students from Reception to Year 9, providing a nurturing environment with an emphasis on ecological awareness and a personalised sense of belonging.

About the Role

Working collaboratively with leaders, colleagues, students and families, the successful applicant will deliver engaging and inclusive Visual Arts learning programs that support student achievement and wellbeing. The teacher will inspire creativity, develop students' artistic skills and contribute positively to the vibrant culture of the College.

Key Responsibilities

The successful applicant will:

• Plan, deliver and assess high-quality Visual Arts programs aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
• Create inclusive and engaging learning environments that support diverse student needs.
• Foster positive relationships with students, families and colleagues.
• Monitor, assess and report on student progress and achievement.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies that promote a safe and productive learning environment.
• Participate fully in the life of the College, including professional learning, staff meetings and co-curricular activities.
• Uphold the Catholic ethos, mission and values of Cardijn College.

Essential Requirements

Applicants will demonstrate:

• Current Teacher Registration in South Australia.
• Teacher Accreditation (or eligibility to obtain Accreditation) in Catholic Education SA.
• Experience teaching Visual Arts in a secondary setting.
• A commitment to contemporary teaching and learning practices.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Active support for the Catholic ethos and values of the College.

Additional Requirements

The successful applicant will hold or be willing to obtain:

• Working with Children Check.
• Catholic Police Clearance.
• Current Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN-EC) certification.
• Mandatory Notification training.
• Relevant First Aid qualifications.
