About the role
Tailored Support Services (TSS) are a Disability Support Provider on the Sunshine Coast. We are a passionate Team who truly understand what it takes to make a difference. We provide an individualised service to allow people living with a disability options to live their best lives all whilst reaching their desired goals. We are currently looking for support staff to join our team who have the drive and commitment that it truly takes in making a difference in a forever changing environment when providing support to people living with a disability. We work together to move forward and grow positively, through an unparalleled quality of care.
We are looking for someone for in home support who can use a manual handling hoist, assist with personal care and food preparation. Someone who would be willing to go swimming. A plus would be if you are interested in the rugby league and tennis.
Qualifications & experience:
· Must have a certificate III in Individual support.
· NDIS Workers Screening.
· Blue Card (Working with Children Check).
· QLD Drivers Licence.
· First Aid & CPR Certificate.
· NDIS Online Modules; Worker Orientation, New Worker Induction, Supporting Effective Communication, Supporting Safe & Enjoyable Meals, (or willing to obtain).
· Willing to work sleepovers.
· Open availability required.
· Willing to obtain manual handling certificate but experience is preferred.
· Be a competent swimmer.
Tasks & responsibilities:
· Community Participation, assisting with social outings and transport.
· Must be willing to assistance with daily life tasks and personal care.
· Provide support in a manner that is consistent and encourages and motivates our Participants to meet their goals.
· Maintain positive working relationships with other team members, Participants, families and stakeholders.
· Regular recording of shift notes, reporting and Support plans, identifying areas of improvement and recognising steps taken towards achieving goals.
· Portray values and attitudes in line with those of TSS.
