Architect / Graduate / Project Manager — Construction Contract Administration

About the Role

Towill Design Group is looking for an experienced Registered Architect, Experienced Graduate or Project Manager to join our team in a role that combines architectural expertise with hands-on construction administration. We are seeking someone who is confident taking responsibility for a project during construction and has experience acting as a Superintendent administering construction contracts under the ABIC Major Works Contract. This is an opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex education projects, working closely with clients, builders, consultants and our internal design team, providing strong leadership and ensuring projects are delivered professionally, fairly and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Administer construction projects in accordance with the ABIC Major Works Contract.

• Manage the contractual and administrative aspects of projects throughout construction.

• Assess and respond to requests for information, variations, extensions of time and other contractual matters.

• Conduct site inspections, progress meetings and project reviews.

• Monitor construction progress, quality, compliance and programme.

• Maintain clear and timely project documentation and records.

• Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, builders, consultants and contractors.

• Identify and resolve construction issues in a practical and timely manner.

• Provide professional advice to clients throughout the construction process.

• Manage defects, practical completion and final completion processes.

About you

• Registration as an Architect, or substantial experience in an architectural graduate or project management role

• Demonstrated experience administering construction contracts as a Superintendent.

• Strong working knowledge and practical experience with the ABIC Major Works Contract.

• Experience managing projects through construction, from commencement to completion.

• Excellent understanding of construction processes, documentation and building practices.

• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.

• The confidence to make informed decisions and provide clear professional advice.

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.

• The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

• A collaborative, professional and solutions-focused approach.
