Job Pathways is seeking an experienced R13 Manager to lead the Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) program across Halls Creek, Balgo, Mulan, Bililuna and Ringer Soak.

Strong regional services come from strong leadership, clear expectations and trusted local relationships. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and working as part of the Management Team, you will oversee the day-to-day delivery of employment services to a caseload of approximately 900 participants across the region.

This is a hands-on role that combines people leadership, operational oversight, community engagement and contract performance.

The Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) supports people in remote communities to build work-ready skills, overcome barriers and move towards meaningful employment. Through flexible, culturally safe and locally tailored support, RAES works with communities and employers to create practical pathways into local jobs. Job Pathways delivers the RAES program across the Halls Creek/Tjurabalan region.

About the Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading, supporting and developing a geographically dispersed and culturally diverse team.
• Hold operational accountability for the effective and efficient delivery of the Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) program and achievement of agreed participant, employer and community outcomes.
• Building trusted relationships with Aboriginal communities, local leaders, employers, training providers, government agencies and service partners.
• Overseeing regional planning, resources, budgets, workplace safety and operational risk.
• Using data, community feedback and local knowledge to improve services and employment outcomes.
• Ensuring services are culturally safe, practical and responsive to the needs of participants and communities.

About You

You will be a capable and grounded leader who can balance people, performance and community relationships.

We are looking for someone with:

• Significant management experience in employment services, human services, community development or a comparable operational environment, with RAES or CDP experience highly regarded.
• Experience managing government-funded services, performance frameworks, compliance requirements and budgets.
• A strong track record leading and developing teams, ideally across regional, remote or multi-site operations.
• Demonstrated cultural capability and experience working respectfully with Aboriginal people and communities.
• Strong judgement, communication, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills. A relevant tertiary qualification, or an equivalent combination of experience and expertise.

What You’ll Need

You will need a current unrestricted C Class driver’s licence and the ability to undertake regular road and air travel, including overnight stays. Appointment is subject to satisfactory National Police and NDIS Worker Screening checks. Applicants must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
