Transport Operations Coordinator

Lead Transport Services Keeping Communities Connected

Access Sydney Community Transport is seeking an experienced Transport Operations Coordinator to lead our transport operations team to deliver safe, reliable and client-focused community transport services.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strong operational leader with experience in transport, logistics, fleet management or community care to make a meaningful impact in a respected not-for-profit organisation. You will play a key role in ensuring older people, people with disability and transport-disadvantaged individuals remain connected to their communities through accessible transport services.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily transport services to ensure safe, efficient and reliable service delivery.

• Lead, coach and supervise operational staff, including drivers, scheduling and fleet managment personnel.

• Oversee vehicle maintenance, repairs, inspections, replacement and compliance activities.

• Maintain fleet records and monitor vehicle performance.

• Maintain policies, procedures, records and operational documentation.

• Monitor service performance and implement improvement initiatives.

• Manage recruitment, onboarding, training and performance development.

• Manage customer complaints and service issues.

• Prepare for accreditation and regulatory audits.

About you

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing transport, logistics, operational or service delivery teams.

• Strong operational management skills, including fleet management, compliance, risk management and workplace safety.

• Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office and transport management systems.

• NSW Driver Licence with a good driving record. (Light Rigid license or above highly regarded)

• NSW Bus Operator Accreditation or willingness to obtain within six months.
